May 2, 2008 [Store Closing May 31st] Our store will close, however we will continue buying and our Internet operations will continue at least through most of July without interruption. We will be closing our store to local customers only. This will not affect mail order or Internet sales at all. Those that pick up their auctions will still be able to do so. We will continue to purchase trains out of our store as well. It will be best to call ahead and let us know you are coming. 814.833.8313. We hope you will take advantage of our in-store sale through May 31st where you will find select items on sale. See April 29's message for more information.
April 29, 2008 [Store Set & Track Sale] We are having a store set and track sale. Get a great deal on a Lionel train set at a great price. Buy ahead for the next holiday season. All fast track is on sale as well. Available while available. We will not be re-stocking so once they are gone, they are gone!
March 29, 2008 [Moving Our Location] We have been in the same location in Erie, PA now for over 25 years. At some point later this year we will be closing our store here and relocating to offices in the port of Cape Canaveral, Florida. Our web sites will not be affected and will be up during the moving process. However Train City, Inc. will for a month or so stop operations for the move. (Except to buy collections. We will not stop buying!) We don't have a schedule yet because we are selling properties in the Erie area and much depends on the timing of the those sales. We will post more information as it becomes available. I would like to say thank you very much to all our customers in Erie. It has been a true pleasure serving the area over the years. We will miss you very much. We hope to see you in the store before we close. And if anyone takes a Disney vacation or a cruise ship out of Port Canaveral, we hope you will visit us.

July 19, 2007 [Help Wanted] We are looking for help in our store. This is part time that would involve 25 to 30 hours. If you live in the Erie, PA area, and are interested please let us know.
January 11, 2006 [New S & H Rates] I am sorry to say we have to raise our S & H rates as of February 1, 2006. UPS raises their rates every year. We have not raised our rates for over five years. The new rates for shipping and handling will be 7 1/2% of total order with a minimum of $7.00 and a maximum of $19.00 per package. Once again I hate to do this but have no choice.
November 2, 2005 [Florida buying trip] We recently learned that our SMTP (outgoing email messages) are not getting through to AOL email addresses. If you emailed me from an AOL address and did not receive an answer please re-send. We probably answered, but the message couldn't get through to you.
October 19, 2005 [Florida buying trip] I will be in Florida on a buying trip starting the 9th of November. I am looking for collections to buy in Florida. If you know of someone in that area with trains for sale, please let me know. I will pay finder's fees.
